Games

-If you kids enjoy the Summer Party Games, please offer to help this year!

-Contact Judy JLeinbach@nc.rr.com and Jane dab2@gate.net to help with games this year.

Cardboard Boat Race

-This event should be fun for both participants and spectators!

-Each “team” gets two or three huge pieces of cardboard (like from an appliance box), two rolls of duct tape, and two foam “Noodles”. (The design process can begin before the party). They have an hour to create a boat that will transport a team member. No other materials may be used, except that marking pens are OK for decoration if desired. The boats are judged on design. Then they race. No paddles unless made from the supplied materials. Then teams compete to see whose boat will hold the most team members before sinking. There will be separate prizes for design and for winning the race and maybe for other reasons.

-Make a team of friends or family or both (3 or more per team).

-Each team must have an adult to assist with cardboard cutting.

-All ages can participate.

-Sign up by June 18th by adding a comment to this website posting with your team name, team members’ names and an email address for the organizers to contact your team with rules and further details.

-Check back on the website to size up the competition!

In addition to needing help with the kid’s games, please get involved by offering to…

-Make lemonade, sweet or unsweet tea (drink jugs are provided by LFA)

-Buy bagged ice (ice coolers will be provided)

-Purchase supplies (any purchases will be reimbursed)

-Set up or clean up

-Donate tables for the food and drinks

-Take digital photos for the website

-Be creative & offer something special (balloons, cut flowers, bubbles…)

Please help make this year’s party a success!

Left unchallenged, The SW3 Team will(hopefully)float to victory. The team members consist of:
    Kord Scharfenberg
    Benjamin Watkin
    Isaac Walker
    Crestone Witsell

And yes…we will pack out what we pack in.
